Volunteers become our team members and reinforce our commitment to providing person-centered care and expect that everyone who enters can experience harmony in relationships. You will play a key and vital role in our community helping neighbors down the Samaritan Place streets! Volunteer opportunities (daytime, evenings and Saturdays) for both youth and adults include:
• Visiting
• Nail care
• Playing cards and games
• Saturday morning coffee social
• Assisting Entertainment events
• Assisting with Chapel
• Playing bingo
• Assisting with physical games (basketball, curling)
• Happy Hour ( must be over 19 to assist)
• Assisting in the garden
• Resident Outings
URGENT NEED
Piano Player to assist with 10 am weekly Mass on Tuesdays and 3:30 Pm Sundays
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Potential volunteers can set up an appointment with the volunteer coordinator to explore options available for a volunteer experience that meets their needs.
All volunteers will be required to complete a volunteer application form.
Volunteers will be required to submit Criminal Record Check. A letter of intent will be provided to volunteers to have the Criminal Records Check fee waived.
All volunteers will be provided a general orientation to provide them with the tools to make this experience rewarding.
